I received a few emails about the Chili6 and redirected some to SKYWALK, but I am still waiting for an answer after 45 days... They are very BUSY, I'm sure :-)
I asked the designers and SKYWALK to buy a CHILI 6 ... It seems delicate...lets see...
If I cannot get one soon, I'll probably travel later and test one!
But I am still waiting for an answer.
Here are the questions you asked for:
First, congratulations on Chili 6!
I have already flown practically every Chili. I still remember the first one, then the Chili 3 long-break travel but very efficient climbing abilities, the Chili 4 (my personal favorite) as it combines the pleasure and feel in flight, the Chili 5 was a very dampened version, and perhaps at those times pilots were searching for more comfort.
1- Where does the Chili 6 stand in relation to the older versions? More comfort than Chili 5? Same dynamic handling as the Chili4? Good climbing abilities like the Chili3?
2- Tom, what software are you using to create the Chili6? Is it Alula? The same one used on the Base3? If so, where would the Chili 6 prevail?
3- Stephan, after that last amazing feel under the Poison 4, which is of course an EN-D glider. For me, the Chili 4 is a baby Poison 4 in that overall feel you get when flying it. Where does the Chili 6 stand compared to the Chili 4?
4- I watched the video, and I also watched other videos about Tom's vision for creating non-collapsible gliders.
Tom, what would the benefit be on a B-class glider? And how difficult was it to pass the EN-B tests?
5- Tom, do you think gliders with high resistance to collapse can give that small feedback in weak thermals? And will they be able to float and climb efficiently in a moving airmass?
What I mean is, the more reflex there is, the less it can climb? Or am I missing something?
6- Stephan, I think you already flew the Chili6. Can you describe the feel under it compared to the Chili 4 and 5, especially what the airmass is doing and the brake authority given to the pilot in rough conditions?
7-Tom, can you comment on the descent techniques? Are the ears easy to induce under that profile?
8- Arne, when you release a glider in the high B category, do you guys consider testing other brands and comparing before launching a new product? If so, what is the main strong point when flying the Chili 6 compared to the competition?
9- Tom, Overall performance is now slowing under a B-class glider, perhaps because we are still working within a restricted box of rules. Is there any hope for a better internal structure to improve performance in that class, or are we now focused on finding more comfort?

10- Stephan, Tom, what should pilots expect in the near future? Will the 2-liner C class be divided into two groups? One for leisure flying? And one for serial racing?
If so, do you think the D class glider would still exist?
11- Arne, will I get a Chili 6 soon :-)
